Novosilski Glacier Formation

Description

Similar to Cooper Island Fm. comprising sub-arkosic sandstones to sub- uartzose greywackes derived from a plutonic and metamorphic terrane. Outcrops within the Cooper Bay Shear Zone reveal a gradation from clastic to volcaniclastic composition. Generally exhibits a low regional metamorphic grade (low greenschist) (Storey, 1983)1.
